A: Yes, you must have completed a 30-Hour course in construction for the OSHA 500 AND have 5 years of experience in the construction industry. If you do not meet this prerequisite you can submit a resume for the Executive Director of the Rocky Mountain Education Center to review and approve your enrollment in the OSHA 500 course.
A: Yes, you must have completed a 30-Hour course in general industry for the OSHA 501 AND have 5 years of experience in the general industry industry. If you do not meet this prerequisite you can submit a resume for the Executive Director of the Rocky Mountain Education Center to review and approve your enrollment in the OSHA 501 course.
A: If you are taking the OSHA 500 course you will receive a Code of Federal Regulations 1926, an OSHA T-shirt, pen/highlighter, two Department of Labor forms to be returned at the completion of your course in a self-addressed stamped envelope. If you are taking the OSHA 501 course you will receive a Code of Federal Regulations 1910, an OSHA T-shirt, pen/highlighter, two Department of Labor forms to be returned at the completion of your course in a self-addressed stamped envelope. If you are taking any of the 1 or 2 hour subparts you will not receive any materials.
A: Your course materials will be mailed to the address that you supply when you register for the course. If a physical address is provided your materials will be shipped out via Federal Express – overnight service. If you provide a P.O. Box your materials will mailed to you via regular U.S. Postal service.
A: After you have completed your OSHA 500 or OSHA 501 course you will receive a 10-Hour outreach CD to help you with your 10-Hour courses that you may conduct. You will also receive an office Department of Labor – OSHA Training Institute trainer Card & certificate of complete. An outreach packet will be included to help you when submitting for 10 and 30 Hour cards after you have completed training.
A: No, the only way to get be a trainer for the construction or general industry course is to complete the OSHA 500 or the OSHA 501 courses, 1 or 2-hour subparts will not count towards completing the 500 or 501 course.
